2019 Telecom Pioneers Conference

During the 2019 Telecom Pioneers Conference the San Diego, LMC retirees gathered volunteers to help make sleeping mats for San Diego’s homeless community. Many gathered around tables to cut and weave plastic bags that transformed into brightly colored sleeping mats for the homeless. This project allowed member from various chapters to meet and share other community service projects in their local areas. The San Diego LMC was also promoting their Wine and Mats a gathering at a local winery where they will come together with other and make additional sleeping mats. This was a very fun, yet very helpful project. It is nice to know that something so inexpensive can offer comfort to a homeless person in need.
